AS SEEN ON TV - Make It Perfect to appear on Channel 5's 'Rich House, Poor House'

The whole team here at Make It Perfect were absolutely delighted when approached by Channel 5 to appear on their show 'Rich House, Poor House' to cater for a very special event.

Fans of this popular TV show watch as two families with very different income brackets swap homes and lives for 1 week, often with heart-warming consequences.

We can't give too much away as the show hasn't been aired yet, but what we can tell you is that we were invited by one of the families to provide them with a private dining experience in the grounds of the 'rich house'.

Our job was to pamper them from start to finish. We created a romantic, private dining experience (which included taking all the tables & finishing touches) and then settled them in for an evening of opulence including overflowing fizz and a hand picked 4 course tasting menu.

The show is due to be aired on 13th February 2020 at 9pm on Channel 5

Walcot Hall is one of Lincolnshire's most exclusive country houses for weddings and events.

It has been an associated venue with Make It Perfect for some time, but this month we are excited to announce a very special menu designed solely with Walcot Hall guests in mind.

A Grade II listed Georgian Hall, originailly built in 1726, Walcot Hall is now a privately owned country house beautifully situated on five acres of wonderfully landscaped formal gardens within twenty seven acres of parkland amidst the North Lincolnshire countryside.

It's no wonder this beautiful venue has couples entranced - making it one of the most desirable places in the area to celebrate a wedding. Working with wedding planner Julie and chef Ward you can rest assured that your most special day is in the very best hands.

Our specially selected menu reflects the high quality of the venue, and guests can choose from an array of options. Ward, head chef at Make It Perfect has prepared an amazing selection of dishes including a smoked salmon platter with rye bread and lemon finished with creme fraiche, dill and capers to start. The mains are just as divine with choices such as roasted shoulder of Lincolnshire lamb served with fondant potato, roasted Mediterranean vegetables and Provencal jus. The whole dining experience can be enjoyed in the fabulous dining hall at Walcot, where guests can finish off their meal with something sweet.  There are many delights to choose from, but Ward highly recommends his famous caramelised lemon tart with a raspberry ripple cream and summer berry coulis.

Following on from the huge success of this month's cooking lessons, chef Ward has decided to carry them on into the new year.

We will therefore be running 1 course in December (places are now extremely limited) and then a 2nd class in January running from Tuesday the 7th.

Classes run from 6pm until 9.30pm

and have so far covered a vast range of cooking techniques.

There are a maximum of 4 people per class meaning you will get dedicated attention from Ward.

Prices are £60 a night for 1 class or you can book the whole month's course for £200. All the ingredients will be provided and there will be plenty for you to eat both on the night and for you to take home.

The feedback we've had so far has been amazing, and we believe by creating a more intimate and friendly environment really helps our 'mini chef's' get a fun experience, where they can learn new tools to bring home to their own kitchens.
